1968 Pontiac Firebird Hood Tachometer, 5500 Red Line, V8 Point Ignition
Reproduction of the original hood tachometer found on 1968 Pontiac Firebird models. Each tachometer is manufactured to original factory specifications offering an authentic appearance and fit. Each tachometer is manufactured with a tightly sealed case to keep moisture out, which means less corrosion of internal parts and long lasting dependability. Includes 2 bulbs for clearer visibility than the original, plus the correct Pontiac lettering for an authentic appearance. Includes correct silkscreened lettering and numbers. Replaces the original exactly. Pre-calibrated and tested. Ready to install.
Note: Not for use with original harness. Use harness supplied with part. For use with breaker point type ignition system only. Modifications to heater case are necessary to install condensation tube. A Tach filter is recommended for vehicles running a HEI ignition with a tachometer designed for point style ignitions, for a crisp and cleaner signal to the tachometer.
