Viton GF-600S seals should be considered as an upgrade especially in fuel systems using Methanol (methyl hydrate) or Ethanol (E85/E99). Viton GF-600S has a rating of excellent for use with most automotive fuels.

The technical stuff:

Viton GF-600S is a fluoroelastomer gum manufactured using Advanced Polymer Architecture (APA) technology. Viton GF-600S contains 70% fluorine and is composed of hexafluoropropylene (HFP), vinylidene fluoride (VF2) and tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) with a peroxide cure site.

Excellent resistance to acids, fuels, mineral oils, greases, aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, nonflammable hydraulic fluids (HFD) and many organic solvents and chemicals.

Low gas permeability, low compression set.

Limitations:
Amines, polar solvents, low molecular weight organic solvents and glycol-based brake fluids.
